Our design is inspired by the rich tapestry of Hokkaido's indigenous Ainu culture, the spiritual serenity of Japanese shrines and temples, and the majestic presence of Mount Yotei, known as Niseko's Mt FUJI. The aim of this fusion is to create a space where international visitors can immerse themselves in the essence of Japanese architecture, culture, and cuisine during their short stay.
Key elements of the design include an entrance through a sake and wine cellar. The waiting bar is designed to resemble the precincts of a shrine, and the walls incorporate Ainu motifs to express the unique spirit of Japan and Hokkaido. After passing through a tunnel inspired by a kamakura, a traditional Japanese house made of snow, diners can enjoy sushi prepared by an expert chef while gazing at the snowy landscape, and dine at the sushi counter composed of Kumiki, a traditional Japanese wooden construction method, with a wall pattern that resembles Mt. Yotei and a sense of tradition. The private rooms are designed to resemble the treasures of a Buddhist temple. The private rooms are designed in the image of a Buddhist temple's treasure hall, echoing the serene and sacred atmosphere of the temple.
The use of Hokkaido wood throughout not only expresses our commitment to environmental sustainability, but also adds a genuine local flavor. Our goal is to create a space where visitors can not only savor the flavors of Japan, but also experience Japanese culture in depth through a design that weaves together traditional aesthetics and Hokkaido's unique characteristics. With this holistic approach, we promise that every visitor will have the opportunity to experience and appreciate the depth of Japanese culture and hospitality.
